About the Role:

Our client, a leading logistics solutions firm is looking to hire an AVP / Director - Finance to lead business finance and core finance functions in a high-growth startup environment. This is a senior leadership role with significant exposure to business stakeholders and leadership, and is positioned as a potential future CFO track.

The role reports to the VP - Finance, who in turn reports to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead Business Finance and Business Partnering across core and ancillary businesses

- Partner closely with business and operations teams to drive financial performance and decision-making

- Oversee core finance functions including accounting, compliance, audit, FP&A, budgeting and forecasting

- Drive financial discipline, internal controls and scalability suited to a fast-growing startup

- Present insights, MIS and performance analysis to senior leadership

- Support leadership with strategic initiatives and business planning

- Participate in investor interactions and leadership reviews (good to have)

Candidate Profile:

- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) - mandatory

- Experience: 10-15 years of post-qualification experience

Must-have:

- Prior startup experience

- Strong exposure to business finance and business partnering

- Solid understanding of accounting, compliance and financial controls

- Experience managing senior teams and multiple stakeholders

Good to have:

- Exposure to investor relations / fundraising / board interactions
