Assistant Vice President - Digital Marketing - Mumbai


This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Vice President - Digital Marketing located in Mumbai for a leading Asset & Wealth Management Company. The Assistant Vice President will lead the company's digital marketing strategy with a primary focus on performance marketing, social media marketing, and website management. The role also requires a broad understanding of other marketing activities to ensure integrated, effective campaigns that achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance Marketing:

- Plan, execute, and optimize all performance marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, and display advertising.

- Measure and report campaign performance against ROI and KPIs.

- Identify trends and insights to optimize spend and performance.

- Conduct experiments and conversion tests to improve campaign effectiveness.

Social Media Marketing:

- Develop and implement social media strategies to build brand presence and raise awareness.

- Design, build, and maintain the company's social media profiles and daily messaging.

- Create engaging written, graphic, and video content tailored for social platforms.

- Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance, adjusting strategies as needed.

Website Management:

- Oversee the design, content, and usability of the company website to enhance user experience.

- Collaborate with internal teams to create and optimize landing pages.

- Use analytics tools to evaluate and improve website performance and customer journeys.

Collaboration & Integration:

- Work closely with internal teams and group companies to align digital marketing initiatives with broader business objectives.

- Manage relationships with agencies and vendor partners to execute campaigns effectively.

- Collect and evaluate customer feedback to inform digital strategies.

Market & Competitor Analysis:

- Evaluate competitor digital marketing strategies and develop plans to maintain a competitive edge.

- Stay updated on emerging technologies and digital marketing trends, providing thought leadership for adoption where appropriate.

General Marketing Knowledge:

- Maintain an overall understanding of other marketing activities to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing efforts.

- Support the execution of broader marketing campaigns and initiatives as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising engaging digital campaigns.

- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.

- Proficiency in analytics tools

- Google Analytics is the most widely used platform for tracking website traffic, user behavior, and conversion rates. Proficiency here means being able to:

- Set up tracking codes and goals.

- Analyze visitor demographics, sources, and engagement patterns.

- Generate reports on website performance, such as bounce rates, session durations, and conversion funnels.

- Use insights to recommend improvements for user experience and marketing ROI.

- Performance Marketing Tools - These include platforms and software used to manage and optimize paid marketing campaigns, such as:

- SEO/SEM tools (e.g., Google Ads): For keyword research, ad management, and search engine optimization.

- Email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot): For designing, sending, and analyzing email campaigns.

- Display advertising tools (e.g., Google Display Network, Facebook Ads Manager): For creating and tracking banner ads and retargeting campaigns.

- Marketing automation tools (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud): For automating repetitive tasks and personalizing user journeys.

- Set up, monitor, and optimize campaigns across these platforms.

- Interpret data and metrics to improve campaign effectiveness.

- Make data-driven decisions to maximize ROI and achieve business goals.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including creative writing.

- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing.

- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred.

Educational Qualification:

- A Regular MBA in Marketing from a reputed institution.

- 10 years of demonstrable experience in leading and managing digital marketing campaigns, especially in performance marketing, social media, and website management.
