Job Description: AVP - Digital Business


Role Overview:


We are looking for a senior business and product leader to own and scale a digital wealth / financial services business. This role will be responsible for driving revenue, AUM growth, customer activation, and retention, while leading a core team of Product Managers and Growth Managers.


The AVP - Digital Business will partner closely with Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Finance to build a high-retention, product-led, scalable digital business with strong unit economics.


Key Responsibilities:


Business Ownership:


- Own end-to-end business outcomes including AUM growth, net inflows, revenue, and customer retention


- Make data-driven trade-offs between growth, profitability, and long-term value creation


- Act as the single-threaded owner for business performance and outcomes


Retention, Expansion & Growth:


- Own lifecycle levers such as activation, engagement, churn reduction, and Net Revenue Retention (NRR)


- Identify and scale growth, monetization, expansion, and reactivation opportunities


- Build systems to drive sustained customer engagement and long-term retention


Product & Execution Leadership:


- Define and execute a product-led growth roadmap grounded in deep customer insights


- Set clear OKRs, success metrics, and accountability for Product and Growth teams


- Build and run a high-velocity experimentation engine across product, lifecycle, and growth


- Work with external partners or vendors where required to accelerate execution


Strategy & Stakeholder Leadership:


- Partner with senior leadership to define strategy for the self-serve digital business


- Translate strategy into execution with clear priorities and measurable outcomes


- Communicate performance, risks, learnings, and priorities to leadership regularly


- Align Product, Growth, Marketing, Data, and Finance teams around shared goals


Required Experience & Skills:


- 3+ years of direct ownership of revenue, retention, or NRR metrics in an app/web-based digital business


- 10+ years of experience in digital or phygital financial services as a Product or Growth leader


- Proven track record of improving activation, conversion, churn reduction, and lifecycle growth


- Experience shipping and scaling digital financial products


- Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment without formal authority


- Excellent product intuition combined with strong data-driven decision-making


Preferred / Nice to Have


- Experience in wealth management, advisory, investments, or portfolio management platforms


- Exposure to digital-first and assisted/tele-service business models


- Experience working in 100500 employee start ups during growth or scale-up phases


- Pedigree education (IIT / IIM or equivalent)
