Leadership Hiring | AVP - Compliance | Housing Finance Company (HFC)

A reputed Housing Finance Company is looking to hire an experienced AVP - Compliance professional to lead and strengthen its compliance, governance, and regulatory framework.

Role : AVP - Compliance

Location : Mumbai

Experience : 10-15 years

Education : Company Secretary (CS)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Governance Framework & Policy Oversight:

- Lead the design, review, and continuous enhancement of the company's compliance and governance framework.

- Review and update compliance policies, manuals, and SOPs in line with evolving RBI / NHB regulations.

- Ensure alignment of compliance frameworks with business objectives.

- Partner with senior management to strengthen governance standards and accountability.

2. Internal Compliance Monitoring & Training:

- Strengthen internal compliance checks, self-assessments, and control testing mechanisms.

- Review compliance findings and ensure timely closure of gaps through corrective and preventive actions.

- Design and lead compliance awareness and employee training programs focusing on conduct risk and regulatory discipline.

3. Compliance Risk Governance:

- Establish and monitor Key Compliance Indicators (KCIs) and early warning signals.

- Drive the annual compliance risk assessment exercise, identifying emerging regulatory and operational risks.

- Present compliance risk insights, trends, and recommendations to senior management and governance committees.

4. Regulatory Monitoring & Submissions:

- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all regulatory submissions and returns.

- Track regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations.

- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for effective and timely implementation of new regulations.

Candidate Profile:

- Mandatory Qualification: Company Secretary (CS)

- Experience: 10-15 years in Compliance, Governance, or Risk functions within a Housing Finance Company, NBFC, or Bank

- Strong hands-on experience in regulatory liaison, policy governance, and compliance risk frameworks

- In-depth knowledge of regulations applicable to Housing Finance Companies

- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
