Assistant Vice President - Category Management - FMCG/Retail

About the Role:

We are hiring for a large consumer and retail brand that is expanding its presence across the fragrances and adjacent lifestyle categories.

Candidate Profile:

- 8+ years of experience across Category Management, Buying, Brand Management, Commercial, Sales, P&L, or related business functions.

- Relevant experience in fragrances or adjacent categories such as beauty, luxury, premium consumer, retail, or ecommerce.

- Strong commercial orientation with an understanding of business growth, portfolio performance, profitability, and market opportunities.

- Experience working with brands, partners, suppliers, or other external stakeholders in a commercial capacity.

- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, collaboration, and leadership capabilities.

- Good understanding of the Indian fragrance and beauty market, including evolving consumer preferences and category dynamics.

- Exposure across both commercial/sales and brand/category functions would be an advantage.

- Experience in FMCG, consumer, retail, beauty, or related sectors preferred.

- Postgraduate management qualification from a reputed business school preferred.

- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders.

- Strong executive presence and ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
