Job Title: AVP Business Development
Department: Sales
Reporting To: Director Sales
Role Purpose:
The Senior Manager / AVP Business Development will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and executing strategic business opportunities across key verticals.
This role involves managing the end-to-end sales lifecycle, developing a high-performing sales team, and strengthening partnerships with OEMs, vendors, and customers.
The incumbent will play a critical role in meeting business targets, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and aligning sales strategies with organizational goals.
Key Interfaces:
External: OEMs, channel partners, vendors, and customers
Internal: Pre-sales, Finance, IT, Operations, and other cross-functional teams

Educational Qualifications:
Required: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT, or related fields)
Preferred: MBA/PGDM in Marketing or related specialization
Professional Experience:
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in B2B IT Sales, particularly in software, cloud solutions, SaaS, digital transformation, or managed IT services
- Proven track record of building and managing strong sales pipelines, consistently meeting/exceeding sales targets
- Expertise in managing complete sales cycles: lead generation, solution pitching, proposal development, negotiations, and closures
- Experience handling complex enterprise deals and navigating long sales cycles
Domain Expertise:
Strong understanding of IT solution domains such as:
- Cloud Computing
- Cybersecurity
- Analytics
- Servers & Storage
- Application Development
- IT Infrastructure Services
Key Skills:
Essential:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills
- Advanced negotiation and deal-closing abilities
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot)
- Ability to develop customized business proposals and ROI-driven solutions
Preferred:
- Willingness to travel extensively for client/partner meetings
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Experience in responding to RFPs/RFIs, managing commercial negotiations, and understanding enterprise procurement processes
