About the Role:


We are seeking a visionary and highly experienced Assistant Vice President - Business Development & Strategic Alliances to lead our growth initiatives in the rapidly evolving digital payments landscape. This senior leadership role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record of identifying and capitalizing on significant business opportunities, building high-impact partnerships, and driving substantial revenue growth. You will be a key driver of our expansion, influencing market direction and fostering deep relationships with industry leaders.


Key Responsibilities:


- Strategic Market Intelligence: Lead comprehensive market intelligence efforts, identifying emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and untapped opportunities to formulate high-level growth strategies.

- High-Impact Partnership Development: Identify, negotiate, and secure complex, high-value strategic partnerships with key industry players and large enterprises to significantly expand market reach and product adoption.

- Advanced Startup Engagement: Drive strategic engagement with high-potential startups and innovative companies, exploring and executing on co-creation and integration opportunities.

- Senior Lead Generation & Conversion: Oversee and actively participate in generating and converting strategic leads, including complex referrals and high-profile opportunities.

- Executive Sales Strategy: Develop, refine, and execute advanced sales strategies to consistently achieve and surpass ambitious monthly and quarterly targets.

- New Business & Strategic Opportunities: Proactively identify and champion new, large-scale business opportunities, demonstrating exceptional foresight and a strong "hunter" instinct for strategic growth areas.

- End-to-End Sales & Operations Oversight: Provide strategic oversight for end-to-end sales operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, 100% order fulfillment, and stringent adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

- Strategic Performance Analysis & Pitches: Conduct in-depth analysis of sales and market performance data, and deliver compelling, high-impact strategic pitches to C-level executives and key stakeholders.

- Key Account Leadership & Growth: Lead the development and expansion of key accounts, identifying and executing on significant revenue maximization strategies through deep client engagement.

- Executive Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture robust, long-term strategic relationships with top-tier clients and partners, positioning the company as a preferred and trusted solution provider.

- Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive collaborative initiatives with Marketing, Product Development, Technology, and Operations teams to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution of business goals.

- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and performance management to a team of business development professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring collective achievement of targets.


Preferred Expertise & Qualifications:


- Experience: 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or strategic alliances within the digital payment space.

- Senior Leadership Background: Must have held senior leadership positions (e.g., AVP, VP, Director) in tier-1 payment companies/banks such as Razorpay, Cashfree, PayU, Billdesk, HDFC, ICICI, Paytm, or similar.

Deep Payments Domain Mastery:

- Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with the Payments & Settlement Systems Act (RBI regulations).

- Expertise in Nodal & Escrow accounts.

- In-depth knowledge of MCC (Merchant Category Code).

- Thorough understanding of PCI-DSS Compliance and SSL protocols.

Advanced Skills:

- Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, and influencing skills.

- Superior verbal and written communication abilities, capable of engaging and presenting to executive-level audiences.

- Proven ability to drive complex projects and initiatives independently in a remote work environment.

Education: Any Non-Technical Bachelor's degree.

- All-Rounder Profile: Demonstrated exposure to extracurricular activities and a well-rounded profile, indicating strong leadership and diverse capabilities
