Role Overview:

The AVP/AGM - Compensation role is a critical leadership position responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's compensation and rewards programs. This role collaborates closely with HR Business Partners, Finance, and senior leadership to ensure compensation strategies are aligned with business objectives, attract and retain top talent, and maintain internal equity and external competitiveness. The incumbent will also lead the performance management process and leverage HR analytics to drive data-driven decisions related to compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive compensation strategies and programs that align with the organization's business goals and talent philosophy.

- Manage the annual compensation planning process, including salary reviews, bonus programs, and long-term incentive plans.

- Conduct market research and analysis to ensure the organization's compensation practices are competitive and aligned with industry benchmarks.

- Oversee the design and administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

- Lead the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.

- Provide guidance and support to HR Business Partners and managers on compensation-related matters.

- Utilize HR analytics to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of compensation programs, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.

- Manage and mentor a team of compensation professionals.

- Develop and manage the compensation budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective compensation and rewards programs.

- Proven expertise in compensation planning, salary benchmarking, and job evaluation methodologies.

- Strong understanding of performance management principles and practices.

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Deep knowledge of HR analytics and reporting tools.

- Ability to manage and lead a team of compensation professionals.

- Familiarity with relevant labor laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.

- A Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

- 12-15 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with a focus on strategy development and implementation.
