Job Summary:

We are looking for a strategic leader to own the end-to-end Collections Analytics, Strategy, Process Excellence, and Operational Transformation function. The role will be responsible for defining the long-term collections roadmap, building scalable collection frameworks, driving data-led decision making, and improving portfolio performance across all lending products. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in collections strategy, business analytics, process optimization, recovery operations, and technology-enabled transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Collections Strategy & Roadmap:

- Define and execute the overall Collections & Recovery Strategy across all lending portfolios.

- Develop the 3-5 year roadmap for collections transformation, automation, analytics, and digital collections.

- Build scalable collection operating models aligned with business growth and portfolio expansion.

- Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and strategic initiatives for collections performance.

Analytics & Business Intelligence:

- Lead analytics initiatives to improve collection effectiveness using portfolio, customer, and behavioral data.

- Design analytical models for customer segmentation, risk identification, recovery optimization, and treatment strategies.

- Build dashboards and MIS for leadership covering collection efficiency, roll rates, recovery trends, productivity, and portfolio health.

- Convert complex data into actionable business recommendations for senior management.

Process Excellence & Transformation:

- Own end-to-end collection processes across all delinquency buckets.

- Identify process gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies, and redesign workflows for higher productivity.

- Standardize collection SOPs, governance frameworks, and operational best practices.

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and automation methodologies.

Business Systems & Technology:

- Partner with Product, Technology, and Data teams to design scalable collection platforms.

- Drive automation of collection workflows, digital communication channels, allocation engines, and decision systems.

- Define business requirements for collection management systems and oversee implementation.

- Evaluate emerging technologies, AI, ML, and predictive analytics to enhance collection performance.

Portfolio & Performance Management:

- Own performance across all lending products and collection portfolios.

- Develop collection scorecards, forecasting models, capacity planning, and budget allocation.

- Monitor collection KPIs including Resolution Rate, Recovery Rate, Roll Forward, Roll Back, Cure Rate, PTP Conversion, and Cost to Collect.

- Recommend strategic interventions based on portfolio performance and market trends.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

- Partner with Risk, Credit, Product, Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Business teams to align collection strategy with business objectives.

- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for collections strategy, process design, reporting, and operational excellence.

- Present insights, business cases, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Consumer Lifecycle Management:

- Develop customer-centric collection journeys across the entire delinquency lifecycle.

- Design differentiated collection strategies based on customer behavior, risk profile, and portfolio segmentation.

- Improve customer experience while maximizing recoveries and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- 5+ years of experience in Collections Strategy, Analytics, Business Transformation, or Recovery Operations within Banks, NBFCs, FinTech, or Digital Lending.

- Strong expertise in Collections Analytics, Portfolio Management, Process Design, Business Intelligence, and Operational Excellence.

- Proven experience creating collection roadmaps, transformation strategies, and scalable operating models.

- Strong understanding of lending products, delinquency management, recovery operations, and collection life cycles.

- Experience working with Product, Technology, Data Science, and Business teams to implement analytics-driven solutions.

- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and leadership skills with the ability to influence senior management.

- Strong problem-solving ability with a data-driven and process-oriented mindset.
