Assistant Manager - Warehouse

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager Warehouse to manage and optimize warehouse operations for our fast-growing e-commerce business. This role involves overseeing inbound and outbound logistics, inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely order fulfillment while maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management:

- Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.

- Ensure smooth inbound and outbound flow of goods as per SLA.

Inventory Control:

- Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular cycle counts.

- Implement measures to reduce shrinkage and improve inventory accuracy.

Process Optimization:

- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements for efficiency.

- Optimize space utilization and layout planning.

Team Management:

- Lead and train warehouse staff to achieve productivity targets.

- Monitor performance and ensure adherence to SOPs.

Compliance & Safety:

- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and statutory requirements.

Coordination:

- Liaise with procurement, logistics, and customer service teams for seamless operations.

Reporting:

- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational reports and share insights with management.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP tools.

- Expertise in inventory control, order fulfillment, and logistics coordination.

- Leadership and team management capabilities.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Familiarity with e-commerce supply chain processes.

Experience:

- Total: 5-8 years in warehouse operations.

- Relevant: Minimum 2 years in e-commerce or retail warehouse management.

- Exposure to high-volume order processing and fast-paced environments preferred.

Education:

- Graduate in any discipline (preferably Logistics/Supply Chain).

- MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.
