Assistant Manager Vendor Management


Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Manager - Vendor Management to oversee vendor onboarding, performance evaluation, contract negotiations, and process improvements. The role requires strong analytical skills, relationship management, and the ability to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and compliance across the vendor ecosystem. The ideal candidate should be proactive in identifying risks, improving vendor processes, and supporting business operations with reliable vendor partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Onboarding & Compliance:

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors based on business requirements.

- Ensure all vendors meet compliance, legal, and documentation standards.

- Maintain accurate vendor data, contracts, and agreements.

Vendor Relationship Management:

- Act as the primary POC for vendor-related communication and issue resolution.

- Build strong relationships to ensure service quality and timely delivery.

- Conduct periodic vendor reviews and drive performance improvement.

Contract & Negotiation:

- Lead negotiation discussions on pricing, payment terms, and service commitments.

- Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize agreements.

- Monitor contract renewals and renegotiations.

Cost & Performance Optimization:

- Track vendor KPIs, SLAs, and service metrics.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

- Conduct audits and ensure process adherence.

Cross-functional Coordination:

- Collaborate with procurement, operations, finance, and business teams.

- Support strategic sourcing initiatives and vendor-driven projects.

- Provide timely reports, dashboards, and analytics for decision-making.

Required Experience & Skills:

- 4-7 years of experience in Vendor Management / Procurement / Supply Chain / Operations.

- Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience in handling vendor contracts, onboarding, and compliance.

- Proficiency in Excel, MIS reporting, and vendor performance tracking tools.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with problem-solving skills.
