
- The Tax Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end GST and TDS compliance, ensuring timely reporting, accurate reconciliations, and adherence to statutory requirements.
- The role requires strong expertise in taxation, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to drive financial discipline within a fast-paced and evolving startup environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Ensure comprehensive understanding and management of GST and TDS requirements across all company locations.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports and filings on time to relevant authorities.
- Ensure correct configuration and maintenance of TDS and GST masters, including rates and mandatory codes.
- Prepare weekly and monthly tax reports for internal review.
- Record daily financial transactions accurately and in compliance with statutory standards.
- Ensure taxation impacts are properly assessed and recorded in financial systems.
- Support audits, reconciliations, and internal tax reviews as needed.
Skillset / Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience handling taxation, GST, and TDS in the retail, FMCG, or consumer goods sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation laws, statutory compliance, and financial reporting practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software, MS Excel, and related financial systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
