Position Title : Assistant Manager - Surety & Credit Underwriting

Job Scope / Position Summary:
This role supports the underwriting of Surety Bond Insurance and Trade Credit Insurance products. The Assistant Manager will assist in evaluating proposals, conducting financial and compliance reviews, preparing underwriting notes, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for efficient document issuance. The role also involves maintaining regulatory and internal compliance, and contributing to process improvements and portfolio monitoring.
Main Responsibility:
1.Underwriting Support - Assist in evaluating proposals for surety and credit products, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and documentation.
2.Process Execution - Ensure timely and accurate issuance of underwriting documents and bonds.
3.Compliance - Maintain adherence to IRDAI guidelines, internal underwriting policies, and other applicable regulations.
4.Portfolio Monitoring - Support periodic review of portfolio performance and flag early warning signals.
5.Stakeholder Coordination - Liaise with brokers, clients, legal, finance, and operations teams for smooth execution of underwriting decisions.
6.MIS & Reporting - Maintain underwriting trackers, prepare MIS reports, and assist in audit documentation.
Qualification and Experience Requirement:
Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field. Insurance qualifications such as Fellowship/Associateship from Insurance Institute of India preferred.
Experience: 2 -4 years in commercial lines underwriting, preferably with exposure to Surety Bond or Credit Insurance.
