Role Overview:

As a Statutory Audit Assistant Manager in Kolkata, you will be at the forefront of ensuring financial compliance and accuracy for a diverse portfolio of clients. Your day-to-day will involve planning and executing audit engagements, leading audit teams, and interacting directly with clients to understand their business processes and financial reporting. You will collaborate closely with senior management, providing insights and recommendations to improve internal controls and financial reporting practices. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of financial statements, safeguarding stakeholder interests, and contributing to the overall financial health of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and execute statutory audit engagements for clients across various industries, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

- Lead and supervise audit teams, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality audit execution.

- Review financial statements and audit documentation to identify potential risks, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.

- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients, providing constructive feedback and practical solutions to enhance internal controls and financial reporting processes.

- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and point of contact for audit-related matters.

- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure audit methodologies are current and effective.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of audit strategies and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and supervise statutory audit engagements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

- Proven ability to lead and motivate audit teams, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex audit issues.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5-9 years of relevant experience in statutory audit.

- Adaptable to working in a dynamic environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
