Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Sourcing Manager to join our sourcing and procurement team based in Vikhroli (West), Mumbai. This role is critical in streamlining sourcing operations across multiple locations, managing vendor relationships, driving technology adoption among partners, and supporting cross-functional initiatives to meet the company's evolving business needs.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, coordination, and vendor management skills, with a proactive approach to improving sourcing efficiencies and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing & Procurement Operations:

- Streamline and coordinate end-to-end sourcing operations across different regions and locations.

- Collaborate with internal teams including supply chain, finance, customer success, and regional business teams to fulfill ongoing business requirements.

- Implement procurement best practices to drive consistency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality sourcing.

Vendor Management & Development:

- Manage relationships with existing vendors across multiple product categories to ensure service quality and performance.

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to develop a reliable and scalable vendor base.

- Monitor vendor risk, compliance, and performance metrics regularly to ensure adherence to company standards.

Technology Enablement & Adoption:

- Facilitate onboarding of vendors onto the companys technology platforms.

- Ensure seamless management of vendor orders, inventory updates, account statements, and transactions via digital tools.

- Drive continuous adoption and utilization of tech platforms by suppliers.

Catalog Management & Pricing:

- Coordinate with the catalog team to oversee product listing, cataloging, and pricing strategies.

- Analyze the end-to-end product discovery cycle from supplier product listing to customer purchase behavior and identify areas for optimization.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Strategic Initiatives:

- Work closely with the category team to support strategic sourcing initiatives and category growth plans.

- Drive standardization across products, processes, and pricing to maintain consistency across markets.

Financial & Compliance Oversight:

- Ensure 100% financial compliance related to taxation, account receivables and payables.

- Conduct periodic vendor reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of financial discrepancies.

- Maintain transparency in vendor accounts and facilitate smooth payment cycles.

Data Analysis & KPI Tracking:

- Monitor sourcing performance through defined KPIs across locations.

- Perform root cause analyses (RCA) and implement corrective actions based on data-driven insights.

- Prepare regular reports on sourcing health, vendor SLAs, cost trends, and delivery performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or supply chain operations.

- Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and align sourcing objectives with business goals.

- Strong understanding of supply chain operations, product cataloging, and vendor lifecycle management.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data and translate them into actionable strategies.

- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP/sourcing tools or procurement platforms.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is a plus.

Preferred Attributes:

- Experience working with technology-driven sourcing platforms or e-commerce catalog management.

- Exposure to working in fast-paced, high-growth organizations with a multi-regional footprint.

- Knowledge of taxation and financial compliance in vendor transactions.
