About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated, target-driven, and dynamic Assistant Manager Sales to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving business growth by generating new leads, managing key accounts, nurturing long-term relationships, and supporting overall business development initiatives.
This role requires a proactive professional with strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to understand customer needs while working in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify potential business opportunities through market mapping, cold outreach, networking, and industry events.
- Drive end-to-end sales cycles including lead qualification, needs assessment, proposal creation, negotiation, and closure.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals by effectively managing a healthy, predictable sales pipeline.
- Conduct detailed research on market dynamics, emerging trends, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop customized sales pitches and value propositions tailored to client needs and business challenges.
- Represent the company in client meetings, industry conferences, trade fairs, and networking events to enhance business visibility.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to identify new revenue streams, expansion opportunities, and innovative go-to-market strategies.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring all their queries and concerns are addressed promptly.
- Conduct periodic review meetings with clients to understand evolving requirements, gather feedback, and provide recommendations.
- Ensure timely follow-ups on proposals, renewals, and upcoming opportunities to maintain a high conversion rate.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and implement strategies to improve retention and loyalty.
Sales Operations & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and updated records of leads, opportunities, activities, and sales outcomes using CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot).
- Prepare weekly/monthly sales forecasts, performance dashboards, and analytical reports for leadership review.
- Support the Sales Manager in evaluating sales performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Assist in creating sales collateral such as brochures, proposals, pricing sheets, and case studies.
- Coordinate with the marketing team on lead generation campaigns, product promotions, and brand awareness initiatives.
Team & Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams such as Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Customer Service to ensure flawless order fulfillment and client onboarding.
- Support and mentor junior sales executives, providing them with guidance, sales coaching, and feedback.
- Develop and share best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline sales processes.
