Description:
- We are seeking a committed Assistant Health and Safety Manager to join our team for the safety operation of manufacturing plants in India.
- This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs by working closely with our Safety Manager.
- Drive Risk Management & controls for the operations and project activities.
- Lead Health and safety, as well as loss prevention system of operations.
- Drive Objectives and goals that are consistent with the plant and the Companys, plan.
- Collaborate with a variety of departments and establish expectations to foster a safety culture.
- Establish connections, communicate, and collaborate with staff members at all levels.
Roles and Responsibilities &Key Deliverables:
- Work with cross functions alongside our Safety Manager to prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policies.
- Guide and enable leaders to develop Safety strategies specific to their functions.
- Facilitate and coach teams in process-based risk assessment and Process Safety Management at all levels.
- Drive contractor safety management program to enhance safety culture .
- Make sure facility is complies with external and internal requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, analyze root causes, and implement CAPA.
- Drive emergency managements and business continuity plan.
- Develop and drive Safety Training Management program.
- Maintain safety documentation as per internal and external requirements.
- Collaborate with management on integrating safety considerations into all aspects of the manufacturing process.
- Foster a positive safety culture.
- Work with external contractors to ensure they adhere to all safety regulations while on-site.
- Plans and budgets specific programs and activities to prevent employee injury and illness and increase employee well-being.
- Drive Continuous development program.
- Assist with project operations to ensure that machinery and equipment are installed safely in accordance with legal and McCain requirements.
- Create and manage budgets and deliver deliverables on time and on budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in science / engineering with PDIS or ADIS. (Post / Advance diploma in Industrial safety)
- One who has minimum 05 years of experience in large manufacturing facility and at least 03 years of auditee experience.
- Strong experience in risk assessments, process safety management and implementing controls
- Knowledge of incident investigation and emergency response principles
- Skilled in site inspections, monitoring, and audits
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience developing or updating H&S documentation
- Ability to coach and influence frontline teams on safety systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams.
