Position: Assistant Manager - Retail Mortgage Loans

Key Responsibilities:
- Product Sourcing: Actively source Home Loans, Loan Against Property (LAP), Lease Rental Discounting (LRD), Insurance, and other retail products offered by the bank.
- Achieve individual sales targets through self-lead generation and participation in branch activities.
- Business Generator Relationships: Develop, maintain, and nurture strong relationships with business generators such as Direct Selling Agents (DSAs), Connectors, Chartered Accountants, and other financial consultants to ensure a consistent flow of quality leads.
- Portfolio Quality Contribution: Contribute to maintaining a healthy and high-quality loan portfolio for the mortgage business in the assigned region by ensuring thorough preliminary assessments of applications.
- Loan Processing Coordination: Coordinate effectively with the Credit department and other internal teams to facilitate the smooth processing of loan applications from initial submission until final disbursement.
- Due Diligence & KYC: Undertake necessary site visits for properties to be mortgaged and residences of borrowers.
- Ensure meticulous due diligence and strict adherence to Know Your Customer (KYC) norms for all applicants.
- Product Expertise: Maintain thorough knowledge of various banking products, especially retail lending solutions, to effectively advise clients and business partners.
- Case Filtering: Apply a keen understanding of the intricacies of various loan cases, effectively pre-screening and filtering applications to ensure only appropriate and viable cases are submitted for approval.
- Deal Facilitation: Drive the end-to-end facilitation and closure of deals by engaging and coordinating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in sourcing and sales of retail loan products, specifically Home Loans, LAP, or LRD, within the banking or financial services industry.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads independently and manage a sales pipeline.
- Experience in developing and managing relationships with DSAs, CAs, and other business generators.
- Basic understanding of credit policies, due diligence, and KYC processes for retail loans.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented with a strong commitment to achieving sales targets.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-graduate qualification in Finance or Marketing.
- Prior experience with a leading bank or NBFC in retail mortgage lending.
