
Non-Negotiable Skills:
1. Recycled Polymers Experience:
- Specifically in recycled grades like rHDPE, rPP, rPPCP, rLLDPE, rPET.
2. On-field Supplier Onboarding & Relationship Building:
- The role requires visiting recyclers, auditing facilities, assessing capacity, and building a supplier network - not desk-based procurement.
3. Strong Domestic Supplier Network in the recycled polymers industry:
- The role needs existing relationships with recyclers, processors, and aggregators across India to hit aggressive sourcing targets.
4. Understanding of Recycled Polymer Quality Parameters (MFI, Ash Content, Contamination, Color, Odor):
- Recycled materials have high variability - candidate must know what quality parameters matter and how to assess them.
Role Overview:
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented professional to join our procurement team in Pune as an AM/Manager for Recycled Polymers. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our sustainability initiatives, managing the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle of recycled plastic resins to support our circular economy goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for recycled polymers to ensure a consistent, cost-effective, and high-quality supply chain.
- Negotiate commercial terms and long-term contracts with suppliers to optimize procurement costs while maintaining alignment with sustainability and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with quality and R&D teams to evaluate new recycled material grades, ensuring they meet technical specifications.
- Monitor global and local market trends in the recycled plastics industry to proactively identify supply risks.
- Manage supplier performance through regular audits and scorecards to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives by identifying process efficiencies and alternative sourcing channels.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing and procurement, specifically within the polymers, plastics, or chemical commodities sector.
- Proven ability to build and sustain long-term partnerships with diverse stakeholders, ranging from local recyclers to large-scale industrial suppliers.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret market data, manage complex pricing models, and drive data-backed procurement decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and external vendors effectively.
- A degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, complemented by 3 to 9 years of relevant professional experience in procurement or material sourcing.
