
Assistant Manager - Sales (Government & Institutional Sales)
Role Objective:
To drive business growth by developing and managing Government, PSU, and Institutional clients through tenders, empanelments, and direct project engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage sales with Government departments, PSUs, semi-government bodies, and institutional clients (schools, hospitals, universities, infrastructure projects).
- Handle tender tracking, bid submission, documentation, techno-commercial coordination, and follow-ups until order closure.
- Liaise with consultants, architects, project authorities, and contractors for product approvals, specifications, and BOQs.
- Ensure timely order execution, coordination with internal teams, and payment collections as per government norms.
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers to generate repeat business and project leads.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Experience in Government / Institutional / Project Sales (preferably building materials, electricals, lighting, sanitaryware, or similar sectors).
- Strong knowledge of GeM portal, e-tendering processes, compliance, and documentation.
- Good communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
