Assistant Manager - Project Finance

A leading renewable energy platform backed by a global infrastructure investor is looking to hire an Assistant Manager - Project Finance to support its growing portfolio of utility scale renewable energy assets across India.

This role will work closely with the investment team and play a key role in managing debt facilities, lender relationships, and refinancing initiatives for operational and under development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and support project finance transactions for renewable energy projects across India

- Coordinate with domestic and international lenders for loan documentation, diligence, and disbursement processes

- Handle post disbursement activities including compliance monitoring, reporting, and covenant tracking

- Support refinancing initiatives including preparation of information memorandums, financial models, and lender presentations

- Interpret and manage financial models, including adapting equity models into lender formats

- Coordinate with cross functional teams including finance, operations, and project teams to collate and validate information required by lenders

- Ensure timely submission of lender reporting requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 2 to 6 years of experience in project finance, preferably within renewable energy

- Experience working on solar, wind, storage, or hybrid renewable projects

- Prior exposure to debt transactions with banks, NBFCs, or financial institutions

- Participation in at least 2 debt transactions from initiation to financial close preferred

- Strong understanding of debt structures, loan documentation, and compliance requirements

- Comfortable working with financial models and understanding key metrics such as DSCR, IRR, and sensitivities

- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to operate in a lean, fast paced environment with high ownership

Preferred Background:

- Investment banking or bank project finance teams with renewable exposure

- Renewable energy developers or IPPs handling debt portfolios

- Debt advisory professionals with direct renewable energy transaction experience
