Assistant Manager/Manager - Valuation & Transaction Advisory

Role Overview :

We are seeking a high-performing professional to join our Valuation & Transaction Advisory team in Mumbai. In this role, you will be at the forefront of complex financial engagements, providing critical insights that drive strategic decision-making for our diverse portfolio of clients.

You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver robust valuation reports and transaction support, ensuring technical accuracy and commercial relevance. By bridging the gap between intricate financial data and actionable business strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the outcomes of mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring projects, ultimately delivering significant value to our stakeholders and clients.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute complex financial models to support business valuation engagements, ensuring accuracy for M&A and financial reporting purposes.

- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of target companies to identify key value drivers and risks, providing clients with a clear perspective on investment viability.

- Prepare detailed valuation reports and presentations that articulate complex financial concepts clearly to senior management and external stakeholders.

- Perform rigorous equity research and market benchmarking to support valuation assumptions, ensuring all deliverables align with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to manage the transaction lifecycle, ensuring seamless communication and timely delivery of advisory services.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building complex financial models from scratch, with a deep understanding of DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction methods.

- Proven ability to interpret financial statements and perform detailed financial analysis to support business valuation and transaction advisory mandates.

- Strong proficiency in financial reporting standards, ensuring all valuation outputs are compliant with relevant accounting and regulatory frameworks.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex quantitative data into clear, persuasive narratives for high-stakes client meetings.

- A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment in Mumbai, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously with minimal supervision.

- A professional qualification such as CA, CFA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent degree from a premier institute, reflecting a strong foundation in corporate finance.
