Position Overview:
This role sits at the core of a regulatory and financial transformation agenda, leading the shift towards Ind AS 117 reporting while ensuring seamless continuity of existing frameworks. You will anchor the organisations financial reporting integrity, balancing compliance with forward-looking financial insight. The mandate extends beyond reporting into shaping financial narratives, interpreting regulatory change, and partnering with cross-functional leaders to redefine profitability, capital efficiency, and reporting architecture in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Ind AS 117 implementation and parallel financial reporting
- Oversee regulatory submissions and ensure full compliance with evolving frameworks
- Partner with actuarial and risk teams to align financial assumptions and methodologies
- Drive financial statement integrity, controls, and audit readiness
- Interpret regulatory developments and advise on strategic financial implications
- Influence decisions on product profitability, solvency, and capital efficiency
- Champion automation and process optimisation across reporting cycles
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Education: Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification
- Experience: 4-8 years in financial reporting within general insurance
- Special: Hands-on exposure to Ind AS 117 / IFRS 17 implementation, regulatory reporting, and audit environments
Essential Skills & Competencies:
- Technical / Functional: Deep expertise in Ind AS 117, insurance accounting, and regulatory reporting frameworks
- Leadership: Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and lead high-impact initiatives
- Behavioural / Cultural: Strong ownership, analytical rigour, and comfort operating in evolving regulatory landscapes
