Assistant Manager/Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis

Job Description :

We are looking for a highly analytical and business-focused Assistant Manager / Manager Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis. The ideal candidate will partner with business leaders to provide strategic financial insights, support decision-making, and improve overall financial performance through robust planning and reporting processes.

This role requires strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, MIS reporting, variance analysis, and business partnering, along with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes across business units.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations.

- Perform detailed variance analysis by comparing actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key business drivers.

- Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, pricing analysis, and business expansion plans.

- Monitor revenue, profitability, operating expenses, working capital, and key financial KPIs.

- Partner with business leaders to provide financial guidance and support strategic decision-making.

- Analyze financial performance trends and recommend initiatives to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

- Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities in collaboration with the Controllership and Accounting teams.

- Prepare executive-level presentations for senior management and leadership reviews.

- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.

- Conduct scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and business case evaluations for new projects and investments.

- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, governance standards, and reporting requirements.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, Sales, Procurement, HR, and Business Units to support planning activities.

- Identify financial risks and opportunities while providing recommendations to mitigate business risks.

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

- Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, and financial modeling.

- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.

- Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications :

- CA, CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification.

- Experience working in multinational organizations or large corporate environments.

- Knowledge of financial consolidation and planning tools such as Anaplan, Hyperion, SAP BPC, Oracle EPM, or OneStream is an added advantage.

- Exposure to automation tools and data analytics platforms is preferred.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- 7-12 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, or Business Finance.

- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills.

- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to interpret complex financial data and present meaningful business insights.

- Strong communication and presentation skills with experience interacting with senior leadership.

- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
