Assistant Manager/Manager - Finance/Taxation & Compliance - CA

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented finance professional with over 8 years of expertise to oversee our financial operations, taxation, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting various audits, preparing comprehensive financial statements, managing tax assessments, and ensuring strict adherence to accounting policies. Strong knowledge of controlling functions, management information systems (MIS), and manufacturing industry practices is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Financial Reporting & Statements :

- Prepare financial reports : Analyse and generate accurate financial reports in strict compliance with regulatory frameworks.

- Oversee statements : Direct the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.

- Optimize processes : Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting and enhance internal controls.

2. Taxation & Compliance :

- Manage tax matters : Direct handling of both direct and indirect tax compliance, including timely filings and GST management.

- Oversee assessments : Manage tax assessments and audits while liaising directly with tax authorities to resolve disputes.

- Ensure legal adherence : Maintain strict compliance with corporate regulations, local tax laws, and financial reporting standards.

3. Audit & Consultant Coordination :

- Support audits : Assist with internal, statutory, tax, and regulatory audits to ensure timely completion.

- External liaison : Partner closely with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities on compliance matters.

Key Requirements :

1. Education & Experience :

- Professional qualification : CA (Chartered Accountant).

- Years of experience : Minimum of 8 years of professional experience across finance, audits, taxation, and financial reporting.

- Big Four background : Proven track record and strong knowledge of handling audits within a Big Four auditing firm.

- Industry background : Prior work experience within the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

2. Technical & Software Skills :

- ERP proficiency : Robust, hands-on experience working with SAP ERP systems.

- Advanced spreadsheets : Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex financial modeling and data management.

- Financial expertise : Strong underlying knowledge of financial reporting regulations, taxation laws, and compliance standards.
