Role Overview:
The Assistant Manager/Manager - Finance & Accounts role is a critical position responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our Faridabad manufacturing facility. This role involves managing the day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making. The position collaborates closely with the plant head, other department heads, and the corporate finance team to maintain accurate financial records and drive operational efficiency. The impact of this role is significant, ensuring the financial health and regulatory compliance of the manufacturing unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insights to management for informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, income tax, and other applicable regulations.
- Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, working with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial plans.
- Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost optimization.
- Manage the audit process, coordinating with internal and external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Drive process improvements in the finance and accounting functions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial accounting, reporting, and compliance functions.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data and provide insightful recommendations.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and auditing standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA/MBA Finance preferred.
- Adaptability to work in an on-site role in Faridabad.
