Education & Experience:
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in retail banking, loan sanctioning, credit appraisal, or related functions.
- Strong knowledge of retail loan products (home loans, personal loans, auto loans, etc.).
Role Overview:
As an Assistant Manager - Loan Sanction, you will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, conducting credit appraisals, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and supporting the retail banking team in achieving business objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance risk with customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Loan Processing & Sanctioning:
- Review loan applications for retail products including home, personal, auto, and consumer loans.
- Conduct detailed credit appraisals, financial analysis, and risk assessments of applicants.
- Verify documentation, income proofs, and collateral details to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Approve or recommend loan sanctions within delegated authority limits.
- Ensure timely processing of loan applications to deliver superior customer experience.
Risk & Compliance:
- Adhere to RBI guidelines, internal credit policies, and compliance standards.
- Identify potential risks in loan applications and suggest mitigation measures.
- Maintain accurate records of loan approvals, rejections, and pending cases.
- Support audit requirements and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with branch staff, credit teams, and sales officers to streamline loan sanction processes.
- Provide guidance to relationship managers and sales teams on documentation and eligibility criteria.
- Collaborate with operations and legal teams for smooth disbursement and post-sanction activities.
Performance & Reporting:
- Track loan sanction volumes, turnaround times, and approval ratios.
- Prepare MIS reports and dashboards for management review.
- Contribute to achieving branch and regional retail loan targets.
Skills & Competencies:
