JD - Assistant Manager - India and International Payroll Summary: In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes across multiple geographies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. This role requires expertise in payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory compliance across India and other international locations, along with strong stakeholder management skills. Role & Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage payroll processing for India and international entities viz US, Japan, EU, Australia etc., ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursement. - Maintain compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across different countries. - Handle payroll-related queries, grievances, and escalations from employees and stakeholders. - Collaborate with finance, HR, and external vendors to ensure seamless payroll operations. - Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure proper tax deductions, social security contributions, and other statutory compliance. - Generate payroll reports and provide insights on salary trends, cost analysis, and other relevant metrics. - Manage audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies. - Stay updated on global payroll regulations and implement best practices to optimize payroll efficiency. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field. - 8-10 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably with exposure to international payroll operations. - Strong understanding of Indian payroll laws and global payroll compliance. - Proficiency in payroll software and ERP systems - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. - Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple payroll cycles effectively.
