
Role Overview:
We are seeking a high-potential HR professional to join our team in Chennai as an Assistant Manager - HRBP within the fast-paced FMCG Foods sector. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, translating organizational goals into effective people strategies. You will be responsible for the end-to-end employee lifecycle, ensuring that our talent management, performance frameworks, and engagement initiatives align with the dynamic needs of the food manufacturing and distribution business. By working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will drive a culture of high performance and operational excellence, directly influencing employee productivity and business growth in a competitive market environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the performance management cycle by facilitating goal setting and appraisals to ensure individual contributions align with organizational objectives.
- Manage talent development initiatives by identifying high-potential employees and creating succession plans to build a robust leadership pipeline.
- Oversee compensation and benefits administration to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity across all levels of the workforce.
- Ensure strict adherence to HR compliance and labour laws to mitigate organizational risk and maintain ethical workplace standards.
- Execute employee engagement programs to foster a positive work culture and improve retention rates within the corporate teams.
- Utilize HR analytics to track key metrics, providing data-driven insights to leadership for informed decision-making.
- Lead workforce planning efforts by forecasting staffing requirements and optimizing resource allocation to support business expansion.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in HR business partnering with a deep understanding of the FMCG landscape and its unique operational challenges.
- Proven ability to manage complex performance management systems and design compensation structures that incentivize high-impact results.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret HR data and translate it into actionable business strategies.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to influence stakeholders at all levels and navigate diverse organizational dynamics.
- A proactive approach to HR compliance, ensuring all policies are implemented in accordance with statutory regulations.
- Ability to thrive in an on-site, fast-paced manufacturing environment, maintaining agility while managing multiple competing priorities.
- A postgraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field from a premier institute / Tier2 is preferred to ensure a strong foundation in organizational development.
