About the Role

Velodata Global Pvt Ltd is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Assistant Manager to join our gold loan branch in Eranad, Kerala. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the Branch Manager in overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with solid experience in the gold loan industry to take on more responsibility and contribute directly to the branch's success and growth.

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

- Operational Support: Assist the Branch Manager in the day-to-day management of branch operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all activities related to gold loans.

- Sales & Business Development: Actively engage in sales activities, promote gold loan products to prospective customers, and contribute directly to achieving branch sales targets.

- Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries, assist with loan applications, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through prompt and courteous service.

- Staff Coordination: Support the Branch Manager in coordinating daily tasks for branch staff, ensuring adherence to operational procedures and service standards.

- Loan Processing: Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of gold loan applications, including valuation, documentation, and disbursement.

- Cash & Asset Management: Assist in managing cash operations and ensuring the secure handling and storage of pledged gold assets.

- Compliance Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and basic

regulatory guidelines pertaining to gold loan operations.

- Reporting: Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, operations, and other key branch metrics.

- Problem Resolution: Resolve routine customer complaints and operational issues, escalating complex matters to the Branch Manager as needed.

- Market Understanding: Develop a strong understanding of local market dynamics and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities.

What We're Looking For

Experience: Minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in the Gold Loan industry, with demonstrated skills in sales, customer service, and operational execution.

Gold Loan Knowledge: A good understanding of gold loan products, processes, and market practices.

Sales & Customer Focus: Proven ability to engage with customers, drive sales, and provide excellent service.

Operational Acumen: Familiarity with daily branch operations and a keen eye for detail.

Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills in Malayalam and English for effective customer and team interaction.

Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team and support colleagues.

Compliance Awareness: Basic understanding of regulatory requirements in the gold loan sector.
