Assistant Manager - General Trade - Consumer Durables/Electronics

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager to drive sales for our calculator and musical instrument product range in the General Trade segment. The ideal candidate must be familiar with the Chennai market, possess strong dealer/distributor management skills, and be fluent in the local language.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and strengthen relationships with dealers and distributors across Chennai.

- Drive sales for calculators and musical instruments in General Trade.

- Ensure regular market visits for product promotion, stock checks, and business development.

- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the assigned territory.

- Identify new business opportunities and onboard new channel partners.

- Monitor competitor activities and provide timely market insights.

- Ensure proper visibility, merchandising, and product availability at outlets.

- Coordinate with internal teams for order processing, supply, and after-sales support.

- Prepare and share regular sales reports and market feedback with management.

Requirements:

- MBA is mandatory (Marketing preferred).

- 3-6 years of experience in General Trade Sales, preferably in Consumer Durables/Electronics.

- Strong experience in dealer and distributor management.

- Must be born and brought up in Chennai or have strong local market exposure.

- Fluency in Tamil is mandatory; English/Hindi is an added advantage.

- Good negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
