Role Summary

We are looking for a qualified Fraud Examiner with strong experience in fraud investigation, internal investigations, evidence review, case documentation, interviewing, root-cause analysis, and fraud risk mitigation. The role will be responsible for independently managing fraud-related cases, identifying process gaps, supporting corrective actions, and recommending preventive controls.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to fraud examinations across employees, vendor, customer, operational, or process abuse cases, along with the ability to convert investigation findings into actionable business controls. Experience using AI tools or automation for fraud detection, investigation efficiency, reporting, or process optimization will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct end-to-end fraud investigations, including evidence collection, documentation, stakeholder interviews, and case closure.

- Review fraud incidents, misconduct cases, policy violations, process abuse, and operational risk indicators.

- Prepare structured investigation reports with clear findings, root cause, impact, and recommended corrective actions.

- Identify control gaps and recommend preventive measures to reduce fraud exposure and recurrence.

- Partner with internal stakeholders, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and HR as required for investigation closure.

- Support fraud trend analysis, loss quantification, recovery support, and governance reporting.

- Use data, dashboards, automation, or AI-enabled tools to improve fraud identification, investigation tracking, and reporting efficiency.

- Maintain confidentiality, procedural fairness, and documentation discipline across all investigation matters.

Required Skills & Experience

- CFE certification with 3-6 years of experience in fraud investigation, fraud examination, internal investigations, risk, compliance, corporate security, audit, or loss prevention.

- Strong understanding of fraud risk indicators, evidence review, investigation documentation, and control recommendations.

- Experience in interviewing, stakeholder coordination, and preparing investigation summaries.

- Ability to identify root causes, quantify impact, and recommend practical mitigation actions.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Good analytical mindset with attention to detail and high integrity.

- Experience/ Exposure to AI, automation, analytics, or technology-led process optimization will be preferred.

Qualification

- Graduate/PG + Certified Fraud Examiner certification.

Note : This is an individual contributor role suitable for candidates who can independently handle investigations, work with stakeholders, and provide actionable fraud risk insights without people-management responsibility. Based on depth of experience and exposure, the role may be mapped at level .
