Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
- Take ownership of finance-related projects, managing timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Ensure the finance team is adequately trained on new systems and automation tools.
2. Financial Reporting & Analytics:
- Leverage automation tools and integrated financial systems to streamline financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the development of dashboards and automated reporting tools for management.
3. Audit Management:
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end audit process, including Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, RBI/Regulatory Audit and other assurance reviews.
- Act as the primary finance coordination point for auditors, ensuring timely sharing of financial data, schedules, workings, process notes and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with respective business and functional teams for resolution of audit queries and ensure timely closure of audit requirements.
- Assist in designing and strengthening Risk Control Matrices (RCMs), internal controls and process documentation based on audit findings and identified control gaps.
- Work closely with internal audit, statutory auditors and other assurance teams to improve the overall control environment and audit readiness.
4. Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure financial systems are compliant with Indian regulatory requirements.
- Prepare RCMs and process notes to assess risks, implement controls, and ensure data security.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and changes in financial regulations that may impact the business.
- Regulatory reporting of monthly and quarterly returns to the RBI.
5. Process Automation:
- Lead automation initiatives in financial processes, including invoicing, reconciliation, reporting, and budgeting.
- Identify manual processes and assess automation opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance productivity.
- Work closely with the IT and operations teams to design and implement automated solutions.
- Monitor the performance of automation tools and systems, ensuring they deliver expected results.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Education:
- Chartered Accountant.
- Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile) or IT systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) will be a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting.
- Experience in the NBFC or banking sector is desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial systems and software integration.
- Proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and reporting.
- Familiarity with Indian financial regulations (RBI, SEBI, GST, etc.).
