Assistant Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis/Business Finance

Job Description :

Our client is a fast-growing consumer brand hiring an Assistant Manager FP&A & Business Finance to drive financial planning, business performance insights, and management reporting. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders to support strategic decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and financial governance while ensuring strong financial discipline and visibility across functions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Financial Planning & Analysis : Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support business objectives and enable effective resource allocation.

- Business Performance & MIS Reporting : Prepare and analyze monthly MIS reports, business dashboards, and management reports to provide timely and actionable business insights.

- Performance Tracking & Commercial Finance : Conduct variance analysis across revenue, costs, and business performance metrics; identify trends and recommend actions to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

- Business Partnering : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor KPIs, evaluate business performance, and drive cost optimization initiatives.

- Financial Reviews & Decision Support : Support monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews through structured financial analysis and performance reporting.

- Financial Modeling & Strategic Analysis : Develop financial models, scenario planning, and business cases to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.

- Financial Controls & Reporting Excellence : Track revenue, margins, operating expenses, and working capital metrics while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of management reporting.

Skills & Competencies :

- Strong understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Business Finance, and Management Reporting.

- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling techniques.

- Experience working with ERP systems and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau preferred).

- Strong analytical thinking with a data-driven and problem-solving approach.

- Effective stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities.

- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment with high ownership.

Experience & Qualifications :

- CMA (Qualified) is mandatory.

- 2 - 3 years of experience in FP&A, Business Finance, MIS Reporting, or related finance functions.

- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and business analytics.

- Experience in high-growth or consumer-facing environments will be preferred.
