Assistant Manager - Financial Planning & Strategy

Job Title: Assistant Manager-Financial Planning and Strategy

Shift timings: India Time 1.30 PM to 10:00 PM

Role & responsibilities:

- Support the development of the Business and 5-year Strategic Plan

- Conducting financial modeling and what if analysis as required

- Analyzing and synthesizing key business drivers that support the long-term financial and strategic aspirations

- Conducting analyses of key trends and metrics by leveraging industry-leading visualization tools including Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and Think-cell

- Support program management (timelines, deliverables, track action items, etc.)

- Support the execution of the finance data strategy inclusive of identifying process improvements and leveraging automation / RPA, etc.

- Support the build and maintenance of the forecasting financial model, inclusive of AUM flows, income statement, cash flow/dividends, and balance sheet

- Execute on monthly and quarterly management reporting and forecasting (e.g., develop visualizations and strategic commentary)

- Conduct fundamental research and synthesize insights on key industry trends and competitive intelligence impacting alternative asset management including real estate, private credit, infrastructure, etc.

- Assist with project management activities

- Support the development of executive-level presentations, including visualizations, strategic commentary, etc.

Preferred candidate profile:

- 5-7 years of relevant FP&A/Strategy/Consulting/Investment/Banking experience with demonstrated career progression

- Very strong verbal and written communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to build financial models including forward looking scenario analyses

- Demonstrated research background, including an ability to extract synthesized insight from competitor earnings reports, research papers and news articles

- Comfort with ambiguity, and having the ability to problem solve and structure ambiguous problems

- Very receptive to feedback, with a proactive, transparent and resilient mindset; very adaptable to change

- Strong proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Tableau

- Familiarity with database tools, Excel macro scripting, PowerBI, and Think-cell is a plus

- Management consulting background is a plus, as is familiarity / background in asset management

- CFA/MBA in Finance preferred; CA/CPA would be helpful
