Role Overview
The role involves supporting finance-related Integration & Separation (I&S) projects arising from mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate transactions. The individual will work closely with CFOs and finance stakeholders across the deal lifecycle, from pre-deal planning through post-deal execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support operational finance Integration & Separation projects across the transaction lifecycle.
- Assist finance leadership on buy-side and sell-side transactions.
- Provide project management office (PMO) support and lead PMO activities for small to medium-sized engagements.
- Support finance workstreams and help stakeholders achieve project objectives.
- Manage engagement financials and oversee junior team members on larger projects.
- Contribute to reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
- Assist in proposal development and business development initiatives when not assigned to active projects.
- Collaborate with external advisors such as banks, law firms, technology firms, and accounting firms as required.
Educational Qualifications
MBA / CA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent accounting/finance qualification.
Experience Required
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Exposure to mergers & acquisitions (M&A) transactions preferred.
Mandatory Skills
- Understanding of the deal lifecycle from pre-signing through post-close operations.
- Experience in project management, process analysis, process redesign, financial systems, analytics, or financial analysis.
- Knowledge of finance and accounting functions.
Experience in one or more finance sub-functions:
- Order to Cash (O2C)
- Procure to Pay (P22P)
- Record to Report (R2R)
- FP&A
- Treasury
- Tax
- Internal Audit
- Familiarity with:
- Transition Service Agreements (TSAs)
- Shared Services
- Chart of Accounts
- Strong understanding of finance operating models, processes, controls, systems, and performance metrics.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
