Assistant Manager - Finance - Capex & Fixed Asset Management

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Title: Assistant Manager - Finance (Capex & Fixed Asset Management)

Location: Kolkata, West Bengal

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reporting To: VP Finance

Responsibilities:

Capex Accounting: Manage end-to-end process of capital expenditure accounting:

- Creation of POs based on approved capex budgets

- Verification and booking of vendor invoices

- Maintenance of asset register and capitalization records

- Conduct Capex vs. Budget variance analysis and reporting

Fixed Asset Management:

Book operating and other expenses after ensuring:

- Correct classification, GL mapping, and necessary approvals

- Compliance with TDS, RCM, and budget guidelines

- Review expenses to ensure alignment with planned budgets and flag deviations.

- Support month-end closing through accruals and provisioning.

- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors for audit schedules, reports, and clarifications.

- Engage with business teams to drive timely and accurate expense recognition.

Requirements:

- CA or MBA Fin with 2+ years of experience.

- Strong understanding of Capex and Fixed Asset Accounting.

- Good working knowledge of GST, TDS, and indirect taxation compliance.

- Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally, etc.).

- Analytical, organized, and an effective communicator.
