Position: Assistant Manager - Finance

Purpose of the role:

Provide financial advice and guidance to business leaders of a large profit centre in support of revenue, profit and margin targets.

Key responsibilities:

- Review and advise on strategic financial plans in partnership with business leaders

- Deliver financial analysis and insight to help business partners make informed decisions and meet targets

- Support client and vendor negotiations by analysing pricing structures, early payment discounts, rebates and volume commitments

- Analyse consolidated budgets and forecasts; provide interpretation, guidance and recommendations

- Identify and drive operational improvements through financial planning, management information and performance analysis

- Work with leaders to assess short, medium and long-term resource needs and their impact on forecasts and budgets

- Support client profitability analysis and champion initiatives to improve margins

- Assist the Operational Finance Director, Financial Controller or Market FD with high-quality, insightful analysis as required

- Promote best-practice financial planning techniques and support data quality and consistency initiatives
