Assistant Manager - Finance & Accounts - Pharmaceutical

Responsibilities:

Controllership & Compliance Oversight:

- Oversee accounting, audit readiness, and month-end/year-end closure in coordination with internal and external teams.

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and statutory filings.

- Drive compliance across direct & indirect tax, Companies Act, FEMA, and transfer pricing regulations.

- Manage and strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and risk frameworks.

- Handle treasury management, cash flow, and working capital planning.

- Business Finance & Commercial Strategy

- Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, BD, SCM, and Manufacturing to support data-backed business decisions.

- Analyse plant-level and corporate financial performance, offering insights to drive margin expansion, cost control, and revenue growth.

- Support new business initiatives by providing financial models, scenario planning, and commercial feasibility assessments.

- Ensure visibility into key financial drivers through structured MIS, dashboards, and reporting tools.

- Bring clarity and structure to financial conversations at the leadership level by combining on-ground data with strategic understanding.

- Participate in pricing decisions, product-level profitability reviews, and budgeting cycles across markets.

Leadership & Cross-functional Ownership:

- Lead and mentor a lean finance team across business and controllership verticals.

- Work closely with CFO on strategic projects, board presentations, funding, and investor interactions.

- Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, consultants, banks, and legal advisors.

What You Bring to the Team:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant or MBA (Finance) with 7+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, B2B, or regulated sectors.

- Strong understanding of accounting standards, compliance, financial modelling, and MIS reporting.

- Knowledge in ERP systems and advanced Excel/Power BI.

- Structured communicator, calm under pressure, and aligned with business-first thinking.
