About the Role

We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (CA) to join the Finance & Accounts team of a leading BFSI organization in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, statutory compliance, taxation, accounts receivable, MIS reporting, and audit coordination while ensuring adherence to applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Objective

To efficiently manage Accounts Receivable, GST, TDS, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and MIS, ensuring accurate accounting, timely tax compliances, and robust financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

- Assist in monthly closing and finalization of books of accounts in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS/GAAP), statutory requirements, and audit practices.

- Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date books of accounts.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.

- Perform revenue accounting at cost centre/profit centre level.

- Verify and validate revenue recognition on an accrual basis.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Accounts Receivable

- Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable processes.

- Monitor customer collections and outstanding receivables.

- Perform customer ledger reconciliations.

- Ensure timely invoicing and follow-up on collections.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Ensure timely payment of GST, TDS, and other statutory dues.

- Prepare and file GST returns, Income Tax Returns (ITR), and other statutory returns.

- Perform reconciliation of TDS credits with the TRACES portal.

- Ensure compliance with GST regulations, Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and other applicable laws.

- Assist in annual XBRL filing and statutory reporting.

MIS & Financial Analysis

- Prepare periodic MIS reports for management.

- Conduct variance analysis and profitability reporting.

- Submit financial reports to the Holding Company within defined timelines.

- Generate business insights through financial data analysis.

Audit & Compliance

- Coordinate with Internal Auditors, Statutory Auditors, and Regulatory Auditors.

- Ensure timely closure of audit observations.

- Maintain documentation required for audits and regulatory inspections.

Required Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory.

- 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in Finance & Accounts.

- Experience in BFSI, Financial Services, NBFC, Insurance, Banking, or a large corporate environment will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting and Reporting.

- Hands-on experience in GST, TDS, Direct Tax, and statutory compliances.

- Sound understanding of Indian Accounting Standards and Companies Act.

- Experience in Accounts Receivable management.

- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.

- Advanced MS Excel skills.
