We are currently looking to close an Assistant Manager Factory Operations position with the topmost FMCG MNC in India. The position is to be based at their plant sites across India.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The person will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient management of factory operations, with a strong focus on production efficiency, equipment maintenance, workforce management, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The role calls for a technically competent individual with a strong understanding of machinery, pneumatics, and hydraulics, capable of driving performance and continuous improvement initiatives at the shop floor.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Production Management

- Plan, monitor, and execute production as per daily and monthly schedules.

- Ensure optimum utilization of machines, workforce, and materials.

2. Equipment & Process Management

- Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance in coordination with teams.

- Drive machine reliability and continuous process improvements to enhance productivity.

- Ensure timely availability of raw and packaging materials to meet production targets.

3. Performance Monitoring

- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency, yield, downtime etc.

- Prepare and review production reports, highlighting improvement opportunities.

4. Cost & Resource Optimization

- Implement initiatives to reduce operational costs and improve energy efficiency.

- Support technology and automation projects to enhance productivity and sustainability.

5. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure strict adherence to factory safety, statutory, and EHS norms.

- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across teams.

6. People & Stakeholder Management

- Lead and motivate shopfloor teams to achieve production targets.

- Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams for seamless operations.

- Engage with Head Office (HO) and functional stakeholders for operational alignment.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or, related field).

EXPERIENCE

- Proven experience of 5-7 years in manufacturing operations

- Good knowledge of machinery, pneumatics and hydraulics.

SKILLS

- Leadership and team management abilities.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Proficiency in performance monitoring and reporting.

Salary : Around Rs.18.0 Lpa

Location : Kolkata/ Bangalore/ Pune/Saharanpur/Mungher
