Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager - Supply Chain Management/Procurement Raw Material

Description: Support the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team in screening, evaluating, and identifying suppliers for materials, technology, and expertise as per approved budgets. The role ensures timely procurement, supplier development, market intelligence, and alignment of procurement strategies with project and organizational objectives.

Principal Job Accountabilities:

1. Market Intelligence & Strategy Development

- Conduct market analysis to understand supplydemand trends for key materials (including Solar BoM components such as modules, etc.).

- Maintain a strong pipeline of raw material sources.

- Develop and implement buying strategies to maximize value and align with project budgets.

- Identify procurement risks, evaluate sourcing options, and support long-term contracting strategies with OEMs.

2. Supplier & Vendor Management

- Screen, evaluate, and select suppliers based on defined Quality Assurance Parameters (QAP).

- Develop global vendors for existing and new BoM products.

- Review performance of existing suppliers and manage supplier relationships.

- Assist in selection of buyers where required.

3. Procurement Execution & Control

- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of raw materials in line with project schedules.

- Prepare and issue purchase orders on time and ensure adherence to contractual terms.

- Monitor delivery schedules and coordinate with suppliers for on-time site delivery.

- Ensure cost-effective procurement that meets internal customer expectations.

- 4. Project Coordination & Reporting

- Ensure procurement objectives are aligned with project needs.

- Review consistency, progress, and ensure effective tracking of procurement activities.

- Maintain proper documentation and support audit readiness.

- Provide ongoing updates to stakeholders on procurement status and supply risks.
