Position Overview:

Bhatia & Bhatia, Chartered Accountants is looking for a dynamic and technically sound audit professional to join the

Audit & Attestation Services team in Pune. The role involves managing audit engagements, coordinating with clients, supervising teams, and ensuring timely and quality delivery of assignments across statutory audit, internal audit, IFC, and related assurance services.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical understanding, leadership capability, and the ability to independently handle engagements while working closely with Partners and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Audit Engagement Management

- Manage and execute audit engagements from planning to completion.

- Handle Statutory Audits, Internal Audits, IFC assignments, and related assurance engagements.

- Ensure audit work is performed in accordance with applicable auditing standards and firm methodologies.

- Review financial statements, schedules, and audit documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Identify key risk areas and ensure appropriate audit procedures are carried out.

2. Client Coordination

- Act as a key point of contact for clients during assignments.

- Coordinate with client teams for information gathering, timelines, and deliverables.

- Address client queries and provide practical solutions during the course of engagements.

- Maintain professional client relationships and ensure smooth execution of assignments.

3. Team Management & Leadership

- Supervise and guide team members on audit assignments.

- Review work performed by junior team members and provide constructive feedback.

- Ensure timely completion of assignments while maintaining quality standards.

- Support team development through training and on-the-job mentoring.

4. Technical & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Work on financial statement analysis and identification of reporting issues.

- Stay updated with changes in Ind AS, Companies Act, Standards on Auditing, and other regulatory developments.

- Assist in the preparation and finalization of audit reports and related deliverables.

5. Business Support & Practice Development

- Support Partners and senior management in managing client relationships.

- Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and internal process improvements.

- Contribute towards strengthening audit methodologies and internal quality processes.

Requirements:

Technical Competencies

- Strong exposure to Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, IFC and Tax Audit assignments.

- Understanding and practical working knowledge of Ind AS and applicable accounting standards.

- Good understanding of financial statements and financial reporting framework.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.

- Leadership mindset with the ability to supervise and coordinate teams.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Qualification & Experience:

- A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

- 4-5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Audit & Assurance services.

- Prior experience in a Chartered Accountant firm is preferred.

- Experience in handling mid-to-large-sized audit engagements will be an added advantage.

This is a full-time on-site role based in Pune, Maharashtra.
