Assistant Manager - Demand & Supply Planning

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning:

- Develop and implement production schedules based on sales forecasts, historical data, and seasonal trends.

- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing.

- Monitor daily output and promptly address any deviations to minimize production delays.

Stock Replenishment:

- Maintain optimal stock levels across all storage and distribution locations.

- Analyze inventory data to accurately forecast replenishment needs.

- Ensure timely restocking to prevent shortages or excess inventory.

Inventory Management:

- Track inventory levels, turnover rates, and product expiry dates to maximize storage efficiency.

- Implement strategies to reduce inventory holding costs and improve utilization.

- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.

Collaboration:

- Partner with procurement, supply chain, and sales teams to align production with market demand.

- Liaise with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and components.

Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare detailed reports on production performance, inventory levels, and replenishment trends.

- Provide actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Operations, or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification (MBA/PGDM) is an advantage.

- Minimum of 5 years experience in supply chain planning, production, or inventory management, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing sector.

- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP B1).

- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
