Assistant Manager/ Consultant - IFRS 17 Implementation/ Advisory (Life Insurance)
Description :
We are looking for high-performing finance professionals to join our IFRS Advisory practice and play a key role in IFRS 17 implementation and finance transformation programs across the insurance sector.
This position provides an opportunity to work directly with senior stakeholders, finance leadership teams, and transformation programs focused on regulatory compliance, accounting modernization, reporting optimization, and technology-enabled finance transformation.
Key Responsibilities :
IFRS Advisory & Finance Transformation :
- Support implementation of IFRS / Ind AS frameworks within the BFSI sector, specifically Life Insurance organizations.
- Conduct impact assessments and gap analysis for IFRS 17, IFRS 16, IFRS 9 and related
accounting standards.
- Develop technical accounting papers and implementation guidance for clients.
- Design future-state finance, accounting, and reporting processes.
Solution Design & Implementation :
- Participate in the design and implementation of accounting and reporting solutions.
- Define business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Develop test scenarios and support SIT, UAT, integration testing, and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with finance, actuarial, risk, technology, and business teams throughout implementation.
Stakeholder Management :
- Work closely with client finance teams and project leadership.
- Present findings, recommendations, and implementation approaches to stakeholders.
- Support project management activities and delivery governance.
Candidate Requirements :
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in financial reporting within the Life Insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 17, IFRS 16, and IFRS 9.
- Experience across finance operations, financial close, consolidation, and reporting.
- Hands-on IFRS 17 implementation experience will be a significant advantage.
- Exposure to finance systems, ETL tools, reporting solutions, or data visualization platforms is
desirable.
- Strong analytical, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting and transformation environment.
