About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager Assurance (Statutory Audit) to lead and manage statutory audit assignments for a diverse set of clients. The role demands strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills to deliver high-quality audit services while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and firm methodology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and execute statutory audit assignments independently.
- Finalize statutory audit reports, including group reporting where applicable.
- Lead, guide, and motivate audit teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of assignments.
- Conduct internal trainings and knowledge-sharing sessions within the team.
- Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for client interactions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their overseas counterparts.
- Apply firms audit methodology and industry best practices to engagements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (tax, advisory, etc.) for integrated solutions.
- Take ownership of client deliverables such as CSS, billing, and recovery.
- Support internal audit assignments and non-standard assurance engagements when required.
- Ensure readiness to travel across client locations as per assignment needs.
Skillsets & Competencies Required:
- Strong knowledge of Statutory Audit processes and relevant accounting standards (Ind AS, IFRS, etc.).
- Proficient in auditing software and MS Office tools.
- Excellent understanding of financial statements, internal controls, and business processes.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a result-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication skills verbal and written.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and accept inputs for continuous improvement.
- Service-oriented approach with a strong commitment to meeting client expectations.
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
- Willingness to travel across multiple client locations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CA/Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI Finalists preferred).
- Prior experience handling audits of mid to large-sized corporate clients.
- Exposure to multinational or group audits is a plus.
