Role and Responsibilities Overview:
We are looking for a Part Qualified or Nearly Qualified Actuary to join our Property & Casualty Pricing team. In this role, you will develop advanced pricing models, leverage machine learning and actuarial techniques, and build scalable data solutions to support profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and enhance predictive pricing models using GLMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests, and other statistical/ML techniques.
2. Identify risk segmentation opportunities and improve pricing accuracy.
3. Validate, monitor, and recalibrate pricing models.
4. Build and automate analytics pipelines using Python, R, SQL, Emblem, Radar, and cloud platforms.
5. Design and maintain actuarial Pricing Data Marts, ETL pipelines, and feature libraries.
6. Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with actuarial and regulatory standards.
7. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable pricing solutions and present insights to stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, 2. Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ actuarial exams with IAI, IFoA, CAS, or SOA.
- 3-6 years of experience in P&C pricing, ratemaking, or regulatory filings.
- Strong knowledge of General Insurance/P&C actuarial concepts.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Excel, VBA, SAS, and familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
