Job Description - Site EHS Head

Position: Assistant General Manager - EHS

Location: Chiplun, Maharashtra

Industry: API Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead EHS audits, compliance assessments and site inspections at the API manufacturing facility.

- Conduct internal EHS audits and ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

- Identify audit gaps, prepare action plans and ensure timely closure of observations.

- Handle external, regulatory and customer EHS audits.

- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety and process safety standards.

- Oversee hazardous waste management, pollution control and chemical safety.

- Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to strengthen EHS compliance and safety standards.

Candidate Requirements:

- Engineering degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or a relevant discipline.

- API pharmaceutical industry experience is mandatory.

- Strong experience in EHS audits, audit compliance and closure of audit observations.

- Experience in a USFDA-approved API manufacturing facility.

- Sound knowledge of statutory compliance, environmental regulations and process safety.

- Experience in handling site-level EHS responsibilities at Assistant General Manager level.
