Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager or Senior Manager Projects with strong expertise in end-to-end execution of large-scale Greenfield projects in the process industry, particularly Chemical or Fertilizer. The ideal candidate should have independently led a project of at least 500 Cr in value from the owner or client side, with responsibility for coordinating multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project progress.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end execution of Greenfield projects from project planning and engineering through construction, commissioning, and handover.

- Provide overall project leadership from the client or owner side, ensuring effective coordination across all project disciplines.

- Manage multidisciplinary project activities covering process, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation, procurement, construction, commissioning, and other relevant functions.

- Monitor project progress against approved schedule, cost, scope, quality, and key milestones.

- Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, PMC, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project execution.

- Review engineering deliverables, procurement progress, construction activities, and commissioning plans.

- Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, delays, and execution bottlenecks.

- Conduct regular project reviews and provide management with updates on progress, risks, costs, and critical decisions.

- Ensure effective coordination between engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.

- Drive resolution of technical and execution challenges and ensure timely corrective actions.

- Ensure compliance with applicable technical, safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

- Support project governance, documentation, change management, and contractor performance monitoring.

- Ensure successful commissioning, start-up, stabilization, and final handover of the project.

Required Skills and Experience:

- 12 - 15 years of experience in project execution, project management, or CAPEX project leadership.

- Mandatory experience executing at least one Greenfield project valued at 500 Cr or above.

- Strong experience in the Chemical, Fertilizer, Petrochemical, or other process-industry sectors.

- Mandatory end-to-end project execution experience from the client or owner side.

- Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and workstreams.

- Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project handover processes.

- Experience monitoring project schedule, cost, quality, progress, risks, and dependencies.

- Strong stakeholder management experience across EPC partners, PMC consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

- Strong project planning, execution, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership capabilities.

- Ability to independently manage large and complex projects in a high-pressure execution environment.
