Assistant General Manager/Senior Manager - Operation & Maintenance

Job Description :

To lead and oversee all aspects of operations and maintenance across solar power plants, ensuring maximum uptime, optimal performance, safety compliance, preventive maintenance, and cost-effective operation in alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Plant Safety & Operational Efficiency :

- Ensure all plant operations comply with safety standards to prevent accidents and hazards.

- Implement preventive maintenance activities such as grass cutting, module cleaning, and equipment servicing to minimize breakdowns.

Power Generation Targets :

- Plan and manage activities to achieve quarterly and annual generation targets.

- Monitor daily plant performance and take corrective actions as needed to maintain optimal power output.

Billing & Payment Collection :

- Ensure billing of power generation and other services is done within 7 days of the billing cycle.

- Follow up rigorously to ensure payment collection from clients within 30 days.

Maintenance & Operations Management :

- Conduct daily plant inspections to identify defects, malfunctions, or inefficiencies.

- Ensure 24/7 availability of spares and resources to maintain uninterrupted plant operation.

- Monitor plant efficiency through SCADA system readings daily.

Coordination & Liaison :

- Coordinate timely with management, contractors, and clients for urgent operational requirements.

- Handle local government and utility company liaison to manage grid outages, power curtailments, and force majeure events.

Cost Management & Reporting :

- Operate within budget limits and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality.

- Prepare and submit daily generation and monthly performance reports.

- Obtain client acceptance for monthly plant performance reports.

Team & Resource Management :

- Manage manpower and material resources effectively for smooth plant operations
